I get the Error Parsing Expression warning window when I type in the expression; this is what I get: Error Parsing Expression [radToDeg(rotation. Any insight why is that happening? Thanks

Hi Jorge A. Ruiz Morales, thank you for watching. Most of the time that error in this expression is due to the variable name, you need to replace the word "rotation" with the name of your variable (the one in the scalars section), for example, if the name of your variable is "sunrotation" the expression would be [radToDeg(sunrotation)/360, 0, 0] Let me know if this was helpful 😊

Do I have to do the whole same process if I change the HDRi map?
@ArchVizExplained
Жыл бұрын
Hi @coloformaarchviz8592, great question! In this case, instead of creating a new bitmap or corona bitmap, you can load a new map, if the sun is in the same position it should work as is, however, if the position of the sun is different you can follow these steps: kzitem.info/news/bejne/2XyjlolroXyjlaQ Also you can reuse this map and sun for other projects. I hope this helps clarify things for you. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thank you for watching!

Hey! Great tip! In my case, I need the sun to be linked to another object. When I rotate the sun by hand, everything works well. but when the sun rotates due to the link - nothing happens .. Please help me to solve the problem

This is pretty cool but i wonder what is the real application of this technique. I'v been doing archviz for about 10 years and never felt like this is something i'm missing. Just wondering.

Hi Dont Bother, thank you for watching, if you need to do a sun analysis with multiple previews, animate the sun position or if you are reusing the light for other projects and you need to move the sun then this is totally worth it and can save some headaches with having double shadows, or time readjusting the sun position after moving the HDRI, this way you don't need to readjust both. But If you have an HDRI with a high EV that doesn't need a sun or if the HDRI rotation is not changing then binding both is not necessary. Let me know if this helped you 😊
