How To Live In Alignment Series: Part Ten:
Values: Honesty with Oneself (Avoid Delusion)
Kyle grew up ruled by delusion, self-imposed.
It was his safety/coping mechanism.
He’d unintentionally/unknowingly shroud reality in a rosier-picture to get through.
Although this helped him feel positive and uplifted, he lived in a constant state of delusion that led him wrong, every time.
He wouldn’t get the results he set out for or find himself at roadblocks that were difficult to maneuver and get out of.
👉Many of us live in some degree of delusion, especially when it comes to body image and desired body composition outcomes.
We seek the quick fix options or feel let down when making a change doesn’t lead to fast, perfect results.
We place the blame outside us, choosing to feel a little better if it’s someone else or something’s fault and not our own.
👉We are the result of our past choices. If we are unhappy or unsatisfied about some part of ourselves or our life, we need to remove the shroud of delusion we’re encased in and be real.
👉Ask ourselves the tough questions we were avoiding and realize the road ahead will be long and twisted.
Progress takes continuous, constant effort to make real, lasting change.
Once we own up to this fact, we can start making true progress and get real results.
Just like eating the SAD diet, full of processed chemicals and excess sugar, we might feel great in the moment, but we’ll suffer the consequences the rest of the time.
