Thank you for the tips. I found the one about running a strap from the carrier to one corner of the vehicle to remove play particularly helpful - I hadn't thought of that.

I had a small Baja style mini bike for awhile. 200cc that I transported this way behind my Honda crv. The guy I got it from was really crafty with his metal working and he modified the hitch rack by putting in slightly wider cross beams allowing the fatter tires to squeeze right into the rack when I strapped it down. I only needed the 2 ratchet straps and I could run it upright without it moving at all. Believe me the first couple times I transported it this way I kept a close eye on it but it never budged. Thanks for sharing how you do it with your Ruckus Greg.

It's funny how unnerving it is right. Anyway that sounds really cool. I looked hard at the baja for a while, but the place that sells them stop carrying them - so That's partly why I ended up going with the ruckus

@@outdoorsonthecheap I wanted the Coleman 200 but when I got the cash together I couldn’t find one so I tried the Baja. I found the belt slipped a bit whenever I ran through deeper puddles. Lately I’ve been seeing the Suzuki Van Van I think they’re called, they look pretty cool too. I traded my Baja for a couple sea kayaks last year but I miss having a small bike. The Ruckus has been on my radar for a few years now. I really like them.

Thanks for this informative video. Where did you buy the motorcycle rack? and which brand is it?
