Thanks for the video, have exact same ATV, was a little worried about the back up process. No problem going forward. Used the same ramps with my dirt bikes, never a problem. Thanks

I have the exact same ramps. Way safer than the 2 single style ones that i also own. There are lots of different ways to tie down the ATV. I like running one single strap through the front of the ATV frame to each side of the trucks tie downs in the front. Then take another strap and hook it to the rear tie down of the truck and run it across the back of the ATVs rear rack ( wrap it around it ) then to the trucks tie down on the other side. Keep ATV in neutral with brake set. This way the ATV can't move forward or reverse no matter what. I also just use a yoga pad folded in half to protect my rear window and the ATV is pushed against that pad so the pad never flies away. Unloading the ATV, for less risk i just pull the ATV off by hand keeping one hand on the brake and let it roll off the truck without sitting on it. I used to ride it off the truck too but found this works and way safer.

Use your ramp straps and strap em to the stake pockets and secure it against the tailgate

Move the strap for the ramp up in the 3rd or 4th bar, it will pull the ramp down instead of pulling it ahead where it can rise up and slip ahead when your front wheel hit the bottom of the ramp. Lesson learned.

Do you have the dimensions of the stopping blocks you made?

I would use 2x6 boards but dimensions all depend on your truck .

how far does the rancher stay on one tank full of gas?
@ArizonaKid
4 жыл бұрын
munzawy , that is good question . The farthest we have went is that four peaks ride , almost 50 miles and it dropped two bars . Tank gage doesn’t read the last 1.3 gallon reserve . So let’s do some math and some rounding . Tank is 3.9 gallons , let’s round that up to 4 . Take away 1 gallon for reserve and leaves us 3 gallons so bike has 4 bars and if 2 bars gets 50 miles then that means 1.5 gallons gets 50miles . So a tank would do 125 miles . Now this is all based on how hard you ride etc . But that would be my guess as of now .
@ArizonaKid

Well wait , that might be all wrong , let me go look . There might be five bars total not 4 . Will get back to ya
@ArizonaKid
4 жыл бұрын
Ok so there is 5 bars and I did no rounding and it looks like each bar is 23 miles at .52 gallon . ( I looked back at video and two bars went 46 miles ) And reserve is 1.3 gallons . If that is right , the. Reserve tank would hav two bars at total of 7 times 23 miles equals 161 miles .

I might need to test that one day , will need to wait tell winter cuz in Arizona running tank of gas low makes fuel pump heat up and burn out . But I’m happy with that guess . I’m sure it’s close .
