Gemma, this is one of the best videos you have done!...I had no idea about all the techniques! 😃.. Most of us are familiar with the the apples of our cheeks approach. I actually use my blush from middle of my check up to the temples..I use the “C” technique 😊. But you have taught us so much in this video! Thank you! 😊❤️

I am so glad you said older women can wear blush on their cheeks. I am sick of being told I can't wear it where I want. My rule of thumb for blush is place it where you would normally flush up. So in my case its right across my face and up my temples and slightly on the top of my forehead. I always find this takes years off my face. Nature knows.

My favorite videos on this channel are the "how to" tutorials. I'm still following your video where you started with concealer and used very little foundation, which was such a game changer for me❤️❤️ Since having to start taking steroids daily (for life unfortunately), my face looks quite round. The second application technique works well for me now.😉

What happened? Why do you have to take steroids? I understand because steroids makes you have stretch marks and you body and face changed/got chubbier. I know because I once did chemo for leukaemia and now I’m all good. (As paeds) So how bout you?

Love your channel! I am obsessed with blush too! I am 56 and have light skin. I start with Bare minerals warmth, sweep on Flower Beauty pink matte blush, then a peachy satin blush. It gives my face interest, dimension and makes me look healthy! Blend, blend, blend! If nothing else, usually on the weekend, I use blush, a little concealer on my eyes and mascara. At my age less is best! I loved your backwards video. I do like to just apply a very light serum foundation all over for a Dewy natural look. My favorite is No. 7 Boots serum foundation. I sometimes mix it with Flower Beauty Supernova. I have oily acne prone skin and this dry oil is really amazing. Alone or mixed.

Hello dear girl! I love make up and you are a beloved girl of mine! I am 43 years old and despite the fact that I use more than fifteen different products on my face every morning nobody ever says that I overdo it. I prefer a precise and elegant make up for my work. I have a little thin and long face as well and I found out a product that helps me create a very naturalhorizontal line and be able to use my favourite blush on my cheeks without looking toooo much. I am very fair with rather neutral to cool skin undertone. This the illuminating bronzing powder( in colour maui) by BOBBI BROWN. It so soft and subtle that brings my colour back after having applied my medium coverage foundation . So the bronzer ,the blush and the illuminating powder make my face put together. Sometimes when I don' t follow my full make up routine, I only use a tinted moisturiser( les beiges by chanel) and this powder and looks sooo perfect! Try this please! Some other people love the antiqua colour for the same reason. My shade of foundation is ivory ( la mer) if it helps you understand how fair I am. Keep up the good work. I love your honesty and your tips! Thank you for being here!!!

Now I've seen a few mature BGs say not to do the C technique bc our temples may be sinking in a bit so they say to not put blush on the temples...I feel that is ridiculous, we are talking a cm or two. When I used to drink alcohol a bit more often tho I am hardly a drinker (now maybe 3x a year) I would get that flush across my cheek apples and nose and get nothing but compliments! I also never use contour except on a glam occasion down the sides of my nose but I love blush on my forehead as well. Thx Gemma - blush on!! ~~Chanel

I think you seem quite sweet and likeable, and your tutorials are informative and helpful and a pleasure to watch. To me this is incredibly rare on KZitem, because no matter what the people doing the tutorials are teaching, it takes them forever to get to the point, or there is so much vain posing and staring at themselves, obviously in love with their own reflection.. gag.. hello! I clicked on that video to learn something, not to join them in admiring themselves! LOL. They are quite tedious to listen to, so I usually close the video after only a few minutes in, rolling my eyes. Anyway, back to you.. You are very direct and to the point which I greatly appreciate, and your tips actually work for me, so YAY! I don't usually write comments, but I just wanted to say thank you and to encourage you to keep on being the sweet, down to Earth lady you are.. You are very good at this, and now you have a new subscriber... (me) P.S. You should do a tutorial aimed at other KZitemr beauty gurus on how to not be annoying and fake, but I think you are too nice to do that.

I have just fallen in love with blush and I think I place it like all over the place, both the two finger and three finger way (that sounds so weird saying/writing😅) in addition to putting it slightly up under the eyes so I don't get a stark line where my blush ends and concealer start😊. My go to natural fresh look now is just bb cream, lots of blush and fluffy eyebrows, I love it and feel so "young" (I am only 25 but I feel 18 when I do it haha) 😍
