I am very new to loom knitting - I literally started this week - but I have already completed three hats, my third I played around with the three step stitch after seeing this video and I created a really funky, cool hat. I really appreciate all your videos. I too am a visual learner and so seeing your videos is such a great help to me. They are clear, concise and you show me exactly what I need to do. Thank you so much!

Yes! I plan on making one soon for sure. Right now I am using the cheap yarn I got to practice with. I am not sure if you can see this, but this is a photo of the hat I made...it is kind of a mess but it is the second hat I have ever made, heh. scontent.fmkc1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/28055858_10212753649854977_4773896420381233869_n.jpg?oh=ffea1c9ff21990934ad8f6173fa32279&oe=5B12566A

Well, You can finish a hat in about 6 rows - however each row does take time..... but it is a stitch worth the effort. Very pretty. I recommend using a silky yarn shows off the texture much better then a coarse yarn. denise

Hi! I love the look of this stitch and want to give it a try, however, you and Zoe both start your tutorials in the middle of a row so it's hard to see how to begin. Would you e-wrap and knit the first stitch/peg to then begin on peg two? Also, do you need to do this on an even or odd number of stitches for a row to end properly or do you need to do an extra e-wrap at the end to turn? Thanks for your help!

Julieta, I wanted to do this stitch in a flat panel. I experimented a little and found a way so that the sides of the flat panel still looks good. First, make sure the number of pegs you use is a multiple of three. Then cast on using whatever method you like. When you are ready to start the three step stitch, first knit peg one then do trees step stitch to end of row. You should end on the last peg. Knit last peg and work your way back across the loom. Hope this helps. Thank you Zoe for the lovely stitch and thank you LoomaHat for the video.

Hi Margarita, I know this is frustrating to beginners but this is only a stitch pattern and not a project. I don’t know what you want to make with the stitch and so it would be wrong of me to give you a cast on or cast off. If you’re making a hat - I don’t know your brim- if a blanket- I don’t know your edge.
