Just eat low carbohydrate , avoid fast food, and no sugar..I lost 10kg in 3 months..workout 4 days a week..is not about the intensity, is about the consistency..good luck..

3kg per month is quite a big weight loss. You were probably eating a lot of processed food prior to diet or were quite overweight

@Cali Girl he didn’t say “NO carbs” he said “LOW carb”. Of course you’re going to still eat carbs on a low carb diet, you’re just eating alot less carbs than what you were before, you’re not cutting carbs out completely. 🙄🙄 Many people respond extremely well to low carb diets when it comes to losing fat. Of course low carb isn’t the only way but it’s a great way for lots of people.

WOW! I have spent years in the weight loss loop (the same 20kg loss/gain/loss/gain more) and as a 52 year old in menopause this video literally described all the issues I have. I've been doing IF properly since January 1 2022 and it was great to hear that you agree with that way of eating. I am purchasing resistance bands (loved your MRT video) and I feel very motivated and excited for the first time in years. This is all great advice. I've had a lot of success losing weight just by cutting out processed food and cutting out the carbs that I can easily live without (bread, pasta, crappy vending machine food, etc). Just shy of 20lbs since May 1. Just 15 more to get to my highschool weight~

I quit smoking 18 years ago at the age of 42. I immediately went into menopause (I will always believe the shock of losing nicotine, while good, threw me into menopause) and gained 35 pounds.I lost 25 pounds 6 years ago by no carbs, 900 calories/day. NOTHING else budges my menopausal weight. Ten years ago I trained for an Olympic distance triathlon and completed it. (1 mile swim, 25 mile bike, 6 miles run) Weight loss: ZERO pounds. Seven years ago, I ran 20 miles a week. Loss: 5 pounds. It is so discouraging that I have to starve myself to lose weight but for women who are post-menopausal, that seems to be the case. I'll try all this, plus walking, but I don't have a lot of hope. And I'm an optimist usually!!

Very true - I've tried the 'extra exercise' thing to lose weight and it just burned me out. Much better to intelligently track calories and be in a modest deficit.

Thanks very much for this sensible approach. I know crash diets and crazy exercise don't work but need some help at 55! I've always been active and able to eat pretty much what I wanted (never a binger or big junk food eater, though I could have occasional ice cream and chips without any issues and didn't calorie count). Since 50, that has all changed! I appreciate that you address the meno-belly: this is the first time in my life I've had one (apart from childbearing years) and it has been a big shock. I've tried Noom and Intermittent Fasting with zero results. This plan looks like the edit my diet/exercise needed. Many thanks. 🙏

Losing belly fat is always the most difficult in terms of losing weight. But this video is super helpful with real tips that I can follow right away. And I didn't realize cardio wasn't necessary and that the best form of exercise was MRT. Thanks for all the great tips!

Hi, I have been exercising for three months I started of 220lbs , I was following two exercise videos on You Tube they are good exercises and it was what I was able to handle because of my weight. I weighed myself I found that in those 3 months I lost just 4 lbs but i look thinner, i lost inches, my diet is ok still need to make some changes . I'm not going to give up but i felt some what discouraged when I saw 216 pounds today . Thank you for all your helpful videos. I would look into the program.

I’ve been looking for an easy answer for months now. I'm going to be doing the perfect plate, I also log my macros really protein I'm shooting for 180g and it automatically lowers my carbs I've been staying around 100-150g. I do generally try stay within a deficit. I feel SO much fuller with protein! Started your MRT workout and I was dying in sweat!!

Hey Annamaria, thanks for writing in and great question! It all depends on the time of meal planning you choose. We recommend skipping breakfast to do more of an intermittent fasting approach, to condense your eating day into a shorter window of 3-main meals. However, that doesn't work with everyone, in which case a more traditional breakfast/lunch/maybe snack/dinner plan can work if healthy options are chosen. -The FMP Team

This is a good video, but nothing I have not heard before. I am whole food, plant based, no oil, no sugar. For over 2 years. I do not eat any processed foods, don't drink anything but water or green tea. I have lost over 100 pounds but still have a huge belly that is not getting smaller. I walk 3 - 6 miles per week, do at least 30 minutes of cardio 4 days a week, 20 minutes of weight training 3 days a week. But I have not found anything that will reduce my giant belly. I am 67 years old and was disabled before going plant based. Any ideas?

Hey Gloria, thanks for writing in and great question! And major congrats on dropping 100+ pounds! That is quite remarkable. It sounds like your diet is absolutely on point so our best recommendation at this point is to flip your workout priorities. Resistance/weight training is best in terms of helping change your body composition. When you do resistance work, you can burn calories up to 24-48 hours AFTER exercise; when you stop cardio, you stop burning calories. So placing a higher emphasis/energy on more resistance work can help lead to better results. I changed my diet and my exercise 7 weeks ago and started Keto 2 weeks ago.I've lost 11.5kg in 7 weeks.A week ago I got a set of scales that show stats from visceral fat body fat, protein, body water, muscle and bone mass. My visceral fat has gone down from 15 to 14 but my muscle, bone, protein and body water have also gone down and my body fat has gone up. I don't understand.

@@debiwillis9045 you are correct. I’ve had several coworkers do the keto diet and my brother lost 50 lbs doing it (took him 5 months). They all lost weight too. The problem was when they stopped doing keto they put the weight back on and some extra weight too. I like this man’s approach better and will be giving it a try. I will be joining the 50 club in February😊
