there are lots of funny things from this video, not just educational but also entertaining. I'm 5'6 currently at around 68kg, with the waistline of 32-33". what works for me lately was to have a weight goal of losing 0.5kg per week, and weight myself every morning, always walking when I wake up and before I go to bed, go to gym 3-5x per week. I'm positive that I'm going to lose this fat that I'm struggling my whole life, with no stress as I started seeing it as a marathon not a sprint. my goal is to reach around 64kg which is 2 months from now, I'd probably give an update if I still remember this comment or someone commented to this by that time. hope everyone is doing well, we got this!

@@gannon5409 my first comment was I dunno wasn't posted but I have data of my daily weigh in. I'm used to eating One or Two meals a day, I sometimes make sure I have either proteins like egg, tuna, or chicken in my meal. There is actually some evidence that spot reducation is possible. Fat does seem to have the tendency to be made available more around the muscles that are engaged with exercise. The caveat, however, is that you *still* would need to be in a generalised deficit to actually use that fat.

On one hand it's true there's an "equilibrium" of fat loss like you showed, but then it seems that some fat is "Lost at the end" , like on the love handles. This is contradictory though, no? The real explanation is love handles are related to something called "central obesity" and are a sign of some degree of insulin resistance. The more love handles you have, the more insulin resistant you are, generally(exceptions exist of course). So the actual solution to love handles is to fix the way your body handles carbs, this will fix central obesity, and make it much easier to lose love handles. Keto does this if you really, really care, but some people get very sad about not getting carbs. From my experience, carbs tend to cause depression.

He's right about fat coming off in layers. Once you realize the pattern your fat comes off from it makes it way easier to stay in deficit and stick to diet because you can see it changing every few days. For me it comes off upper back first, front of stomach next, last is lower back and love handles. Right now i've been on 4 week cut and have shredded upper back and abbs but still have ridiculous love handles and lower back fat. "side note" There is a weird in between stage from like 15% body fat to 10% that make your love handles look worse then they really are because all the fat around them is gone. It doesn't bother me though because i've done alot of bulks and cuts and I know all the fat i'm burning from my deficit now is coming straight from lower back and love handles and they will be gone in about 3 more weeks.

A skinny-fat guy outcome is not desirable. Being skinny without muscle is not only wrong aesthetically but more importantly because it is the perfect recipe to regain all weight loss and to create new fat cells when the rebound arrives in the future. No muscle looks even worse than small love handles. Build your metabolism is key. Work of a V-shape. The real solution should be a sustainable nutrition and training approach including: (1) gain muscle for the WHOLE body, (2) do a calorie deficit while maintaining high protein intake, (3) reduce processed foods, carbs, sugar and alcohol, (3) sleep well,(4) address nutritional deficiencies, (5) balance your gut health, and (6) reduce stress of all types. Being skinny will not help you being lean. Muscle is more caloricly expensive than other tissues. Therefore, you need muscle to have a fast metabolism on a more permanent way. This is important because losing the weight is easy but to keep that lower weight is the real challenge. Therefore, the approach should be sustainable and more complete. You lost if you reach 10% body fat but killed your hormones and metabolism. You can reach that level of leanness having a strong metabolism with muscle

Gaining muscle, eating protein, eating healthy, sleeping, and reducing stress are all great ideas. Muscle doesn't really burn many calories, and doesn't have a huge impact on your total daily energy expenditure - but it's definitely critical for the look most guys want! Thanks for watching Ruben :)

I was 99kg last September around the 33rd birthday, I would’ve been around 31/32% body fat. I’m now 82.5kg at about 22% body fat. Going to try and cut down to 75kg which should be about 14/15% body fat before I go on my first bulk. Only have 2-3 months left before I never have to go on such a long cut again. Can’t wait!

Amazing video. I'm a US Marine veteran, and I've recently been through a lot in life that caused a substantial amount of depression, anxiety, and loss of motivation. I slowly saw myself getting fatter every day but always thought, "Meh, I'll catch it before it gets too bad." Well, news flash, i didn't. I'm probably pushing 250 lbs at 6'2", which probably doesn't sound like a lot except it's mostly fat and unhealthy weight. I recently started imagining getting my body back to the way it was when i was a young, fit, Marine. But the subjects you touched on made me realize that it's a pretty unrealistic goal with how busy life is now, and with how fast i wanted to shred the fat. I'm going to approach my journey with a different mindset now. Thank you very much for such an informative, uplifting video.

I started the Keto diet and lost 20 lbs in 90 days with hardly any exercise. Less than 100 grams of carbs a day and no sugar or beer, the fat melts away as long as you stay in Ketosis.

I’m lucky, if I cut out sugar, not even going fully into a diet, like cutting fats or cabs, just no sugar for 2-3 weeks my love handles go away, even if I consume sugar again they stay off as long as I’m not over indulging which is why I get them to begin with

Back in 2017 I had a bilateral knee surgery done, a part of my knee cap shattered and lodged itself in my tendons slowly tearing them apart. Since the surgery I haven’t been the same. So many times I’ve tried to get back in the gym and have failed and proceeded to put on more weight. But as of January 1st I was at the heaviest I’ve been, 250lbs even and since then I’m now sitting at 219lbs. But now I need 2 more surgeries, one to remove my gallbladder and the 2nd to fix 2 hernias that I had back in May. And this time I’m not going to give up after these surgeries.
