I have a 2021GL1800BD (Base model, DCT). I'm 5'6" with a 29" inseam. At first, I had to have my toes down, heels up slightly while at rest on the bike. An auto upholsterer removed some foam from only the sides of the saddle where the upper legs contact the seat. The result is that now I have full foot contact when the bike is at rest. Works fine for me.

Goldwing tires are very specifically designed for the weight they carry. You cannot just put an ordinary motorcycle tire on, or it will be extremely dangerous.

Traxxion Dynamics. I think your bike had rear shocks that were not rebuildable, so this would be hard to do. We'd have to shop for some aftermarket shocks that we could get into to lower them for you.

They won't warranty our shocks of course, but nothing else is changed on the bike so warranty is not affected. Keep in mind the Goldwing is the most heavily modified motorcycle in the world. If Honda wasn't honoring warranty claims, we'd all know about it.

He doesn't. That doesn't mean another company won't. The new Wing does not offer much in the way of reducing height by foam. The previous 01-17 bike had more that could be removed.

Strange that I didn't hear lean/cornering concerns when lowering in any method

It is understood by anyone lowering their bike that they will lose cornering clearance. For many shorter riders, this is accepted, because otherwise, they would not be able to ride at all.

@@Traxxion true for a simple dog bone rear adjustment and spacer cut or fork slip package or modification.. @@Traxxion I think there is.. lets say for example.. first lean angle touch down point is a OEM floorboard.. do..daa.. remove, remount or replace the floorboard with a different style or type.. ok.. let say its the first contact point would be the crash bar.... do...daa.. remove and/or replace with a different style crash bar.. See, people increase their lean angles all the time.. It mostly matters what bike it is, and what part of the bike might make first contact.. Then study the problem from there: like is there an easy modification that can be made to that component?.
