This is how to lower your motorcycle/Sport bike. Lowering links will only lower the rear of the bike. Remember to also pick up an adjustable kickstand.
hey man did u modify any height on the forks after lowering ur rear suspensions? i have a 1 inch and 2.5 inch kits at my local shop, i'm wondering which one to pick r1 2020 i'm 1.70cm (5.7")

I have a question. If I am only exchanging rear dog bones. Do I still need a jack? Can I just put the bike on the rear wheel stand? Do I need front wheel stand as well? I do not understand an idea of using a jack if your rear wheel is in the air on the stand?
@BoxingLegends2024

you need a jack because soon as you take the bolts out of the lowering link without a jack the shock will just fall to the floor you need something to hold up the rear wheel & the shock plus you will need the jack on the shock to adjust the shock to fit the holes when you lower it with the new links

I came to the store to try the Yamaha R1 (M) 2015. Believe it or not, I could not even stand the bike on both of my tip toes. The seat height is crazy high! and I am 170cm tall, around 5 feet 7 inch. I had to lean to one 1 of the sides of the bike to stand it hopelessly. Seat height is the reason why people choose to buy kawasaki ZX10R over the R1.

I have a 2006 FZ1s and I am 170 cm 5' 7" I am on the balls of my feet in boots which is a bit annoying when maneuvering the bike (riding it is no problem). I could flat foot my previous bike Honda Hornet 919 and found it much better to maneuver but much prefer the FZ1 to ride. I would like to lower the seat by about an inch (25mm) but I have been told that I should also drop the front 10 mm or so to keep it balanced.

I'm in the same 🛥, and yea that's what every 1 says, if you don't track or plan on dragging knee I'd I'd figure it be fine ehh?

dont jack it up by the pan at all, bad idea. use thin block of wood or anything like that under the header pipes, very bottom. the headers are fairly strong, the oil pan isnt. yep -- mandatory to lower the front also, easy to do though. they must be dropped the same amount.

You definitely can but then you are talking about reliability issues if you do end up using it as a daily. You can get use to it though just keep in mind its gonna suck to daily her

Thank you for the support brother. I am 5’8 i would say definitely lower her if you want to ride with confidence. I was able to ride almost knee down no problem. This amount of low is perfect for us 👌🏼any lower than this you might have trouble putting a knee down or run into rubbing issues.
