Yes and your tips are great, I am watching daily. Are you still offering the Patreon discount? I understand it went up today to an annual charge which is fine. I need the additional help. I have a full time job, but I believe I am a pretty good buyer but maybe that is false. I think I price too low. I do 5 listyings a day with 290-300 items. I make a lot on coins and exclusive items. I only have done consistint listings this a month, even with 7 days vacation. I do have an Everything store. I understand some of my errors now with that as well as the sourcing. I like your acknowledgement of the mistakes we make as well as the things we do right. I had 18 orders last week which was a record for me since I shipped all in one day after a vacation stop. I have a 100% satisfaction. Been doing this since 2013 for fun. It is a hobby but I think I can be profitable and have the disipline.

To make it easy for myself, I take the sell price of an item, including any postage fees, to arrive at my break even point, then go out and buy the item for as cheap as is possible, which gives me my profit, so if my break even is $8.00, and my cost price fs $3.00, I have made $5.00 profit

I hit small town thrift or second hand stores. Mom and Pop set ups are the best… I walk in and make clear to the owner my intentions are to make a pile that I will offer $50 or a hundred dollars on . Then I tell them , if they agree to that , I will come back again and make another pile. They always say yes , and I always leave my number and list of things I buy . So I don’t have to return on maybes.. At that point they are sourcing for me , so I will buy from them… 🤘🏼🤘🏼

The easiest way to start understanding eBay shipping is to just start doing it. I also started reselling on Poshmark and was PETRIFIED of eBay because of the shipping. All you need is a scale. When you list an item, weigh the item INCLUDING ALL your packing material. Take that weight (let's say it was 14 oz) and jump on KZitem and search "How to ship a 14oz item cheap." I exclusively use USPS as I live very rurally and FedEx and UPS are about a 2 hour round trip drive for me. With USPS once you understand the very basic concept of the difference between first class (under 1lb) and Priority (over 1lb... although you can technically ship any weight, even under 1lb using Priority) it'll be pretty smooth sailing. Will you make a couple mistakes and undercharge on shipping? Sure. But those are mistakes you'll probably only need to make once. You can totally do it!!

What if your a Llc With a legitimate tax ID number where you should be tax exempt
@hustle-n-grow
Жыл бұрын
Tax exempt status has nothing to do with when the customer pays. You can use that when you make a purchase for your business and there is tax added. A lot of places will accept your tax ID number and not charge you tax because you pay it on the back end. This is mostly with purchases that fall under cost of goods

Shipping always throws me off. If I collect 8 and spend 8 on shipping isn’t it basically a wash? (Aside from ebay calculating the fee with the 8 included) but if it is a wash that would mean my item would have to be listed for $18.35 to make the 10, right? If not I’ve been doing it all wrong and I’ll be so sad haha
@katecrowl6238
Жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing. You are right. He deducted the $8 shipping twice. $18.35 minus 12.7% of ebay minus cogs would give you your total profit.
