Thank you so much for your exceptional videos! I was originally trying to learn how to do this properly from Jane Rhinehart's How to make men's cloths book, but it was driving me batty trying to understand what she was trying to describe. (It is very light on Diagrams and just explains things with a lot of it's and other sides and things that are unclear about what to do often having me need to read several pages ahead and reference your videos and other people's videos to try to figure out what she wanted me to do)

Thank you for posting this! I've gotten fed up and decided to make my first bespoke women's suit, but I couldn't find a diagram of the side tabs. Found your channel by fluke and what a happy fluke it was.

Terribly interesting - all I wish is that the camera could get "closer". It's a shame for all that workmanship not to be shown more clearly! :-)

Is the Banrol nylon/plastic? If so, how does it fare with heat? Thanks for the vid, BTW.

I don't know what it's made of, but it definitely takes normal high cotton settings.

Cloth soap. But it's not totally necessary. I get the impression that any plain soap functions, but the one I'm using functions best

I can't be certain. I think the alternative I used once was dove soap, but otherwise I think it's a Spanish cloth soap but the name escapes me.

@@caffeinatedtailor so what does it do? Is it for marking? Because it seemed like what it did was stick things together temporarily similar to basting but weaker and washes out

Yes it's just for barely holding the cloth down. It can come out flatter and neater this way, but it's by no means necessary.
