As a mid aged woman making gardening content, the first thing I did when starting my channel 5 years ago was to study the Paul Brothers. If I wanted to make successful KZitem videos then I needed to understand youtube, and it seemed like the most educational place to start. I didn't like the videos, but I saw the value - and I attribute my current small success with having this as my foundation. Finding your videos now, and using your incredible storytelling education to continue to grow my skills feels very full circle. Thank you.

@@HillierSmith Casey is a long time friend of mine. I doubt anyone will see this and I doubt anyone cares that I know him. Not here to brag or something, because there isn't anything to brag about in my opinion. It's not my accomplishments. But anyway, Casey is such a great talent and even back in middle school I knew he was going to go places in life. I just thought at the time it was going to be some sort of "extreme" sport. Like Snowboarding, or something. He actually was an amazing in-line skater too. When everyone else was skateboarding he was sliding the rails on blades. It's been wild watching him grow.

Great breakdown! Thank you, Hillier! Casey has also credited Max Joseph for his video collaboration here. I’m new to editing but I strongly suggest checking the description for this vid on Casey’s site, where he mentions Max Joseph. Max’s own site links to this video under the editing section, thus negating too much confusion (at least at a surface level). Any further confusion for me was cleared a little with a watch of one or two of Max’s other vids. Max’s YT video, Persistence of Vision, shows a collaboration between Casey and Max, a BTS. Casey once suggested people like me learn their craft: I turn from analysis here to the doing…
