Ingredients:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips (semisweet or milk chocolate)
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
3. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
5. Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
6. Transfer the cookie dough to a well-seasoned or greased 10-inch cast-iron skillet, pressing it evenly into the skillet.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
8. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
