Great idea, you can make them well ahead of time and store in the fridge, always make extra in case you drop one or break one when you are putting it on, that way you have back up. And do make sure you watch the temper choc and what choc to use vids so they don't melt out of the fridge.

Hi ApricotSea, it depends on if you are using real chocolate or not. If real chocolate it will make it seize - it goes grainy and weird. If using fake chocolate then yes you can add some liquid colour - search for 'how to dip cake pops reardon' to see this in action. But for smooth colour and or real chocolate you need to buy oil based colors or powdered colour. To know if it is real or fake click on CHOCOLATE TUTORIALS in the description below the video.

Hi Emmie Chan, If you click on 'show more' in the description below this video and then on CHOCOLATE TUTORIALS it will take you to the chocolate video playlist and there is one there that explains how to temper chocolate and another shows what chocolate to use. Most chocolate that you buy is in temper but if you melt it you take it out of temper - so then when it sets again it will be soft unless it is in the fridge. So you need to keep it in temper - see the video for a clearer explanation.
