I simplified the process so anyone can do it 😉. If you want custom sleeving, aviator connectors, etc. It takes more time, requires more tools and costs way more. 😂

Great tutorial! I made a coiled cable from my keyboard’s stock cable and it turned out great! The only tricky part was the end where you reverse the cable. Thanks so much!

Thanks for this! I figured the part about heating the cable on a mandrel, but didn't know about reversing the coil to get the spring back effect. This cable was so frustrating to use, but now it's a pleasure. I looked for pre-coiled versions, but they cost 2x more than the one I already had.

Could you try using different springs for linear switches in your keyboard videos. For example making a lightest switch with 20g springs.

is having a *braided* cable important for the process?? Does this work just as well with unbraided cables or is it only possible with braided cables? I really want to try this but don't want to damage the nice cable that I got with my keyboard
