Nice s2k, but that splitter isn't functional at all with those gaps, Also the large holes you drilled at the bottom for the bolts will affect wind turbulence. If this is just for looks I guess it's okay but it's definitely not functional. You could try filling in the gaps with weather stripping to make it a little more functional.

I really like your weather strip for the lip. What brand/product did you use? It isn't OEM thing, but it gives it that Manga art type of feel
@paulyzee

Can't remember, but it was some trim used for fender flares. I ended up switching it out to an oem Honda rubber trim because it was much thinner.

@thatredcam

@@devjk1 can you elaborate ?
@devjk1
Жыл бұрын
@@thatredcam too flexible, not strong enough to create any amount of down force or even hold up to the air resistance driving at even a relatively high speed. For reference, most people use 1/2" plywood if they're making a cheap splitter. Look at how much this stuff flexes when he lifts it up in the beginning of the video, it's just not enough from the start.

@@devjk1 I’m thinking of creating my own splitter.. what material and thickness would you recommend ?
@devjk1

@@thatredcam unless you're made of money, 1/2" plywood, like I said. If you are made of money, you should be asking better people than randos you found in some KZitem comment section.

It's a rubber trim used between fender flares. Can't remember the exact one I used but it was something like this. www.amazon.com/dp/B08CRMWR7H/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_KWNAEASQCYW1HDA5H2A0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
