This was awesome. I’ve been looking to make a homemade feeder like the one you made in this. If have quite a few of those plastic barrels laying around so this will be a great project. Thank you for the video!!

An empty five gallon Culligan water bottle makes a great funnel. Much easier to fill.

Does this protect it from mold as well?

On my property, I go through 200 lbs in a week. The deer and turkey eat it up like candy.

So it gravity feeds out pretty good this way, you don’t try to put a 2x4 or something under it to tilt it a little?

Well you could order the 79$ wild game feeder from academy that holds 225lbs, set it up in 10 minutes, and only have to fill it every 3-4 months and charge the 6 volt battery every 6 months. Gravity feeders are great but you end up spending way more in corn every year than it would cost you to buy an electric feeder on a timer.

The timer on that feeder didn't even last a whole season for me.

You’re mistaken if you think this design will keep squirrels, coons or any other small animals from eating the corn.

mistake number one, why do you guys think flip flops or slides are good to wear in the woods or tall unmanicured areas?? never understood that at all

If you feed deer corn, it will mess up their digestive system and the deer will slowly die!!! Feed them oats and tree Vegetation.
