Great tutorial! Thanks for the idea of using the ruler to hold fabric in place. After pressing my quilting cotton, I think I’ll try wooden clapper to get crisper/sharper edges.

Thank you so very much. I did this for a bag I just made that had double vinyl straps and it was not coming out neatly. This saved me so much stress!!! You're awesome

Very nice tutorial. Where do you find cork? I have purchased some that seems more like paper and does not work for making bags or straps.

As always, great video. Thanks so much for sharing with us. Two very minor things: “grosgrain” is pronounced “grow’-grain” and an easier way to say “less wide” is simply “narrower.” As I said, very minor, but thought you should know. (“Thumbs up” emoji)

I’m sure she’s knows the word narrow.

Can you leave cork fabric with a raw edge? Thank you for sharing!❤️

Perfect construction... be sure if you’re using double sided tape ( a must with vinyls and cork), never to stitch through the tape. It’s a nightmare as gunks up the needle, skips stitching etc.

If you use grosgrain ribbon for 1 side of the strap do you make it the same way as you would with vinyl or with cotton?

As the ribbon is sealed on the edges you wouldn't need to fold that in. Would look very pretty with ribbon one side and cork the other!
