Omg you've read my mind! Lol for years ive been trying to find a tutorial for this! All the others ive seen are so hard to understand because of how they're explained. Ever since that one guy was making those badass replicas and got threatened by WBs and had to stop making them (because they were so phenomenal) ive wanted my own. Since anyone who makes them to sell gets sued almost instantly its impossible to find one to buy so its DIY or notta haha i for the life of me can't remember the guys name but Cherry Wallace has one of his potion book replicas and she speaks about it in several videos. I want one soo bad! Lol

Nom De Plume I want his books too. He is Alarm Eighteen and his work is phenomenal. Hopefully this will get us 1 step closer to making our own books. 😉 Thanks for watching! 💙

Recently, I've watched a dozen or so vids on printing on fabric, mostly quilters. None of them were half as really instructive as yours, and none had the trick with taping the leading edge. I've also watched even more junk journal, prop book, and other book artists on how to re-cover books. None got as realistic a result as you, and were far more complicated processes. This just looks like a good pictorial cloth cover, straight from the publisher! One only suggestion: take the marbled paper all the way across, into the crease and over the fly leaf. Doing just the inside cover looks just ... odd. (Can you tell I've been studying too much bookbinding lately?) Thanks for a superb vid!

Both Amazing and Ingenious! I always thought I had been born with a good "set" of brains of which I would be able to create, or think up, almost anything which I needed - especially after being "struck" by inspiration. But, just watching and learning from your videos, I've discovered that I'm dumber than a bag of rocks! The many videos which I have watched, learned from and expanded my knowledge base, all provided by kind, generous and unselfish people like yourself, have firmly kicked me in the "brains", and have humbled me to no end. Speaking only for myself, "Thank You" is almost an insignificant statement to provide you, considering what you given me, of which I will always remember and utilize. Thank You! :D

When you say "draft." I'm confused a little bit. I don't know if you actually mean "draught" which is said exactly the same that means "a quantity of a liquid with medicinal properties." Being from the UK and speaking proper English, I get confused by American English.

What kind of fabric did you use?

It was just a standard cotton fabric. But linen, polyester, etc will work. You just don’t want it to be too stretchy or fuzzy. 😊

Could you use spray adhesive? And I would totally pre-stain the fabric (or use fabric that looks stained) and then hand-paint the wood, cauldron and bottles.

Becky Murphy yes I definitely think you could use spray adhesive. I love how customizable this technique can be. 😊💜

When gluing on the inside page don't close the book immediately. Doing so without protecting the pages causes them to warp and bend due to the moisture in the glue.

Sierra-147 yes this true, that’s another reason to only put a layer of glue down that is tacky and not too thick. Great tip 👍

Well done. It looks fantastic. Can you go in and change Draft for Draught as that's what I prefer. I'm thinking of using it for the cover of my bullet journal and as I use it every day it will age naturally with use.... hugs from South Africa ♥️
