good that you demonstrated it in it's proper way of use, you never make them above ground, always below to hide the set up, great job.

Hey dude thanks for this... I used the same thing with paracord and an 100 pound wight up in a tree and tied a dollar bill to the string I caught my friend with it! hung upsid down for 3 minuites ti'll I let him down :)

Simple! The two anker sticks that are vertically in the ground, holds 2 horizontal sticks, between those horizontal sticks runs that cordage with a knot around a small peg, that peg pulls against the 2 sticks because it is attached to a springy branch, those sticks that are laying in a row rests on the lower horizontal stick, whenever those sticks are pushed down, that lower horizontal stick will as well so the cordage with the small peg will have room to get lose between those 2 horizontal...

great video, but if you wanted to catch bigger animals, say deer or bear, you could stretch the loop around the hole instead of having it in the hole with the pressure plate and dig the hole deeper, then the whole leg falls into the hole up the the armpit or groin and the snare tightens around that, then the animal can't use leverage to break the snare or chew off their leg to remove the snare, it can't escape.

That's a good video on how to make this type of trap and how to camouflage it. I've added it to my traps playlist along with many of your other trap vids, I hope you don't mind. Keep up the good work. Take Care :-))

So the extra bars on it was just for the camo. The actual trap is the two hook branches with 2 horiz. bars (1st one held by;the hooks and 2nd held by the small trigger stick). small trigger stick hooked by a rope pulling down a branch which flings the animal into the air. The black rope is tied to the string?

Excellent trap! I've been using the same set up to catch feral pigs over the last few years. Only difference is I use 3/8" twisted poly rope. I've used paracord before but the pigs break it pretty easy. Must be the abrasion? I also use two 1/2" heavy duty metal tent stakes instead of sticks as the main posts since the ground in my area is all rock. I've caught pigs up to 200# with this system.

ya paracord is bad for hanging things that swing…i used it for a punching bag, and it just breaks after it swings, if it doesn't swing it'll hold for a long while.

@TheAtm47 the bait depends on what type of animal you want to trap. You can also set this trap on a trail, this trap it's a trail trap. You camouflage this trap on a game trail, and you put a stick in front of the trap to force the animal to step over the stick and into the camouflage snare loop. You can also put bait around the trap. Good luck.
