I've been wanting to make a mini version of a Naginata for a while now. This Japanese spear is one of my favorites and while I would love to make a full size version I do not have the necessary equipment or skill set to make one. So I made a mini version that I can use to open my mail with.
The Floating Stand was sort of an after thought. I wanted a neat way to display it and I remembered seeing a toy that used a magnet to create the floating effect. I honestly thought it would be harder to make. The most important thing when building the floating stand is to make sure the height is just right. Too low and the steel will stick to the magnet, too high and the piece won't be able to support its own weight and tip over.
I like the way everything turned out except I think I might add something in the middle of the staff it looks a little bare at the moment. This was a fun project I hope you all like it. Thanks for watching.
