outdoor house paint is a great idea. for some reason back in the late 80's when we skated mini ramps, nobody had done this. we went thru a new layer of masonite every year even in Phx.. $1200 is a great price for a complete mini.. im considering this now! (at 51)

Planning to build a mini ramp in our back yard for myself and my son using your plans. I'm wondering how yours holds up to the weather, would love to see an update on how its holding up around 6 months to a year after it has been in use. Thank you!

We replaced the top layer about a year later after we had an ultra wet spring. Most of it was fine but a couple of the seams had started to come up a bit. It's not a perfect solution, particularly if you have a lot of snow/ice, but it definitely works!

Next to no snow in middle GA, but plenty of humidity. I wonder if the skate paint that OC Ramps sells might be a good solution to seal it up good.

one coat of waterproof bitumen/paint (for bathroom , boat , etc ) would be good over the main wooden structure to avoid any water infiltration and then cover it with the last waterresistant wood layer

You can sharpen your drill bits with an angle grinder. It's worth it. Also use oil for drilling metal

Looks great. Clean work. The only thing I would add is a basic railing on top. There's definitely some tricks where you might end up on the deck and it's easy to fall off the back.
