@@Jaham771 In order to get plans or to contact me via email I need your email address. KZitem no longer has a private messaging service and so in order to get in touch you need to place a comment on this or any other video with your email address. The KZitem software should identify and send it to the spam folder for The New Brit Workshop. Nobody will be able to see your email address except you and me. I will then delete your comment so that it does not end up in the public domain and I will then send the plans. Were we to do this the other way around then my comment, with my email address, would appear for all the world to see. Peter

Amazing! Thank you for showing the process! What if there are 2 monitors? What method or other mechanism would you recommend?

You could use two mechanisms either linked or independent - quite easy really. Peter

Hi Robert, For me to design and make something, which I am sure would be far inferior, would take a good few days. In that time most people could earn enough to buy one without any more hassle. Cheers. Peter

I've got a Samsung monitor and it does take up a lot of room so i feel your pain Peter but I would have liked to see you make a mechanism made from wood using your outstanding engineering skills..... Just a thought for another video.... Keep up the great work sir.

Hi Kent, I did think it through and the two issues were how to make a really reliable vertical linear slide and also how to create a spring mechanism. For many professionals spending a day working a design out and at least half a day making something is probably 2 or 3 times the cost of the DBLIFT in terms of lost income. Cheers. Peter

This takes me back to my furniture making days, I used to make dozens of tv cabinets with rise and fall. They were all remotely operated though as they were motorised.

That’s marvelous. Very neat altogether. Since you had to add ballast anyways, I wonder if there’s a way you can store your keyboard on it so that *it* acts as the ballast at the same time as hiding the keyboard away.
@NewBritWorkshop

Hi Frank, I do keep the keyboard and mouse on top when it is down but not as ballast. Yes, a neat design change could put the keyboard and mouse in a tray area between the top of the monitor and the cabinet top. Great idea - cheers. Peter

I like the shape of the window cill is it curved? don't think I have ever seen that before.
@NewBritWorkshop

Hi Jim, Yes, the window in in a curved section of wall which was the way the house was designed a long time ago. The window itself is a standard (flat) window. Cheers. Peter

Hi Steve, In the UK try Hafele or, failing that, go to the Accuride web site and you will see 3 horizontal bars on the upper right side. Click on that to get a drop-down menu on which is “contact us”. You can also choose “support and chat”. Good luck. Peter

My use case would be to hide the monitor so that the window behind the monitor is unobstructed whilst in the room and not on the computer -- very much like the end of the video I suppose.

Shaun Whiteley not completely sure of the purpose of your comment. To ask for a price is a personal decision and, quite why we need to know that you will not be doing so, is not within my comprehension. Still, if you feels it adds value to your life, that is one of the consequences of an uncensored YT. Peace, love and tolerance

Martin Cox ??? I was interested in the video content, the link for the product was in the description. Unfortunately the item did not have a price listed. Hence my comment. I do not want to start negotiating with a company on how much an item cost! I want to know if an item is in my price range. I hope that cleared up your confusion? Edit And to be honest, my comment would be useful to other people to inform them that they would not be able to find out the price easily by looking at the website. I see no value in your reply at all! But Peace, love and tolerance to you too!

Shaun Whiteley £257 from this seller - accuride.metrol.com/mechanical-lift-dblift-0019.html. - amazing what google finds in a fraction of the time it takes to enter the search terms, or to type low value comments.😉
