I used the sponge to act like a diffuser so it won't disrupt my creation. Pulls out, and the sponge took everything with it.. 😂

@@J_Star_34Looks don't always matter, size and scenery does. Look up the ideal size for a fish tank, this isn't livable if fish were to be put in it, the smallest you should go for a fish tank is 5 gallons, this is not 5 gallons. Hope this helps.

Advice: boil the driftwood before you add it into an aquarium, driftwood has lots of chemicals called tannins which will make the water look like melted chocolate ice cream

Personally I like the tannin look but you could always just do water changes.

Tannins are great, they make the water look natural, and they even can serve as a natural anti-fungal and anti-bacterial "herbal tea" for fish. Tannins from driftwood, leaves, and botanicals are awesome, especially from Indian Almond Leaves and Mopani wood. Betta fish, Tetras, and other tropical blackwater fish love tannins, and do amazing in it.

@@Nanoscape ouh i see.. cuz i tried to set up my tank. The first time it turn yellowish i thought cuz maybe i wrongly calculated the chlorine so i emptied it and use filtered water and mineral water i bought😂 but it still yellow idk if its the amazon soil i bought for cheap

@@lurkingf0x some soils/sands you should sift through first and clean it. read the instructions of the bag you bought, it will say whether or not to wash it first.

Dechlorinated tap water and I do a water change about once a week. You don’t need to do it that often.

i am gonna make a similar one. i basically need another jar to house my shrimp when i have to clean out my 12L main tank. I think something like this would be perfect but i'd have to add a little mini oxygenator

I have floating plants and I used a piece of plastic mesh to keep the amano shrimp inside. The amano shrimp is in a different tank now, so it’s just the floating plants on top!

Probably 😅 I’ve never done it but as long as you clean it good enough to make sure there are no pests or salts in it then I’m sure it’s fine. There’s a lot of cheap options for sand

It will need light. A grow light with full spectrum will be good. Regular light bulbs aren't adequate.

About once a week. If you have too much livestock, feed too much food or don’t have enough plants it can get funky. Mine is densely planted and I only have an amano shrimp so it stays balanced
