Recipe: 1/2 cup almond flour 2 scoops chocolate protein powder 1/4 cup cocoa powder 3/4 cup peanut butter 1.5 tbsp maple syrup 2 tbsp milk 1. Mix all ingredients together by hand or with a food processor or blender. 2. Press into a lined loaf pan. 3. Spread 1/2 cup of melted chocolate chips on top. 4. Freeze for 20 mins. 5. Remove from pan and cut into 8 pieces. Thanks so much for this, Kylie! I love that I can trust you when you say this tastes good, too. RETURN OF THE QUEEN!! Oh my gosh, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this notif pop up while I was grocery shopping, and on such an interesting topic, too! I had a strange period in middle school where I was obsessed with the Beatles, and even then, I was confused by the rumors of Yoko tearing the band apart. (I was also a little in awe of the idea of a woman having that kind of power over four grown men lmao) 01:32:25 I really hope that this comparison doesn’t feel in bad taste, but Peter Jackson discussing the disconnect between the small, connected shows The Beatles wanted to play and the reality of their 60k audiences made me think, strangely enough, about Chappell Roan and her recent shot to fame. On an artistic level, her fame is so so deserved; it’s wonderful to see someone who is so thoughtful about her craft be recognized on this level. But on a personal level, I’ve gotta imagine she also mourns her old basement shows. She’ll never be able to play such small shows again, even if she does end up experiencing a decline out of the public eye as suddenly as her ascent to it. She’s publicly talked about how unnerving all these new eyes on her have been. She’s also talked about how she doesn’t feel comfortable doing meet and greets because her fans will trauma dump on her while telling her how much her music means to them. She recently deleted a ton of her tiktoks, ones she made when she was a smaller artist talking to a smaller, less formal, more intimate audience. Longtime fans are sharing DMs they’ve exchanged with her, of them singing their praises of her then-new songs and her responding with touched elation. Unless something drastic happens, she will never be able to enjoy that level of connection with her fans again. Yes, she has a level of adoration she’s probably always dreamed of, but she’s also got people nitpicking the validity of her creative tributes to queer culture and her personal journey from comphet to being an out and proud lesbian. It just…sucks a little. In a weird way, I feel bad for her. Not in a hipster way - I personally started listening to her at the start of her TikTok boom, so by no means am I claiming I knew her “before she was big” - but in a sympathetic way. Watching the end of this essay discuss the almost exclusively negative effects of fame on the artist got me thinking about her. I hope she comes out okay from this spike in fame. I hope she’s able to continue making a living from her art, while also finding a way to maintain a healthy level of distance from her fans and the general public.

Yeah, I can tell it’s too much sugar and fat to fit easily in my plan. I guess it’s a healthier alternative than a candy bar, but I could have a larger protein bar for fewer calories. Of course, everyone’s goals are different, but I assume since the nutrition info matters to you, you are at least somewhat concerned about macros/calories. I buy Costco‘s Kirkland Signature protein bars. The ingredients and macros are pretty good and they are relatively inexpensive. I think they taste great.

@@maremacd I agree. A quick substitution would be to sub about 2/3 of the peanut butter for powdered to lower the fat. For 6 brownies, comes to 192 cal with 18g protein, which is comparable to the better tasting protein bars out there. And you can always opt out of the chocolate chips to cut the sugar too.
@victoriaboster1177

@@maremacdnot sure what ratios you’re aiming for but I don’t eat any added sugar so I made them with sugar free chips, protein powder and syrup, all of which are easily available. The added sugar content was zero :) and they tasted great! The fat was healthy and within normal range of what I need. Don’t know if you want zero fat (?) but usually that’s not a great idea.
