Thank you for the video. Tip (from a similar origami item that I make - a trick that I use when I make origami balloons/cubes): at 2:13, fold that end flap down (as you show. That'll make a crease. THEN open that flap back up. Fold the point with Washington's face to that line. Unfold. Refold that top flap, as shown in 2:13 and proceed. This creates a crease the helps the paper go into form when you take that last step to pop-out the center to form the square "knot" in the middle. I also added a step to your process at the end. The sample that I just did was on a less crisp paper, so at the end I flipped it to the back and folded in the corners neatly secure the shape into place (without changing the look of the front). This secured it as well as I could for a flimsy paper (without using some outside tool - tape/etc to keep it in place). Of course, using a crisp paper is ideal. (Also, a tip for beginners. Learn this design on practice paper first. All the folds that are created at the center weaken that spot in the paper making it prone to tearing. You don't want to overwork the folds on the money/bill. It's better to make those mistakes on practice paper.)
