"Why?" you ask... Look at this craftmans workshop in the background....This is a family business! Look at some of the other videos too.... These are just "little" balls to put onto or make into other things like "Columns" , tables and vases. You really should look at all of this craftmans work....watch the videos in full! (watch all of the "not just another home made lathe..." video) Some of the most skillfull works I've ever seen... And with wood... It's got a mind of it's own!!

Nice work Jesus, I like your tooling. That is one large ball too! I like your columns as well.... Very large!! Creative patterns too. My material of choice is metal, I don't really work well in wood.... Perhaps one day I might give it a real try? It is nice to see all these video's made by craftsmen and hobbyists alike. The interweb is a fantastic invention indeed! Keep posting and we will all keep watching. [love to music too :-) ] Ralph.

thanks for uploading th video. it was long time quation how is possible to make a round sperical shape peace by late machine, I got the idea, I had not seen the the rotating tool holder which rotates at its center. however for making spherical peace out of steel , your tool holder can not be move so simply by hands, because as you must know the material is hard, and needs the tool holder to be firm in it s place. I think there should be like wise tool holder which automatically rotates ....
