How absolutely refreshing! This is the first I have come across these clips, and I can't stop saving to my Favourites. He has to have been one of the most 'natural' and self-effacing television hosts on ANY topic, but how could it be better than about food. What a dear, dear fellow.

The more I watch old Keith Floyd eps, the more I appreciate his straightforward enthusiasm and knowledge of good food. I've said rude things about him in the past (and why not? he did!) but there's no getting around his twin enthusiasms for food and company!

Urbino237, he is a fantastic host of TV shows and utterly adictive!! Not the best chef by any means but he does have a good passion for food!! I remember the time he tried to bake sea bass in salt and it came out absolutely awful, but the show was so entertaining!!

Jim Broadbent as Floyd is intriguing. As for Tim Spall, I only see him running from the tax lady... (different film).

I think Jim Broadbent would be more convincing as Keith Floyd. I can't see Tim Spall seducing anyone.
