Love the DIY approach here rather than buying something similar, which now I will likely see in my Instagram REELS later tonight. I likely have everything I need to build something like this in my garage, minus the table saw of course. That would be a nice thing to have, borrowed from my neighbor when I put in floors in our office, so slick. Great video as always, thanks Cody!

Good tips . Ive been using microphone stand that I put 1/4 : 20 bolt into . It works great , infinitely adjustable, folds completely down for travel or storage , the thin tri leg base fits everywhere , even under things , and it was only $20 . Unfortunately thought , Without additional bracing or support , It can't carry the weight of a full DSLR and lens , a small one maybe , But cell phones and gopro style for sure .

Some Baltic birch in 1/2" would be plenty of strength. Plus the finish ply is super clean. Crazy durable too.

For the plywood, cabinet grade would be better as well as thicker. It has more layers so it’s more stable

It’s just steel, dude. It’s zinc plated. But it’s not called zinc 😂
