I made the randomizer with an fx rack nested into it; the important thing with that is to put the fx in the pre-fx container. The modulation will not affect the bounced signal otherwise.

Thank You! I wanted to make FX racks and randomize macros and you gave me the solution for it!

Very nice :). That's correct, randomization of the steps module wasn't possible in Bitwig 4. At least not in the Grid version.

Wow this is really cool thanks for sharing and it's very simple to output the modulation to other plugins native and VSTs when you put them inside the FX slot of the Grid module. There is a patch called Rando Tambo that does this in another way but it's CPU intensive.

Such great work Dash! I don't know man, in addition to having a great ear for unique sounds, your 'creative' skill level (with Grid) is at the point where you could possibly start selling packages of boutique patches. You know, selling a sound that is highly obscure, or simply non-existent via commercial plug-ins. Additionally, perhaps developing patches that add character to commercial plug-ins, and allowing new ways to work with our existing plug-in library, may act as incentive for users to consider your work. You could possibly use this last point to approach commercial studios, for investments, once you have patches to illustrate how your patch work could potentially add to their sales bottom line. Bigwig may also be interested as soon as your patch portfolio is fairly attractive. Think big man, forget about giving your technical skills away for free ( YT videos), or for only a few bones via patreon. Just something that came to me, which seems highly plausible.

Cool and interesting idea, but I wished they would just create a component for that. It's long overdue.

awsome :) i tried to extend that up to 64 steps in only one step sequencer, but failed greatly ... it does not sound that complicated but cant get my head around that. how would you do that? to change up to 64 params with one click?
@DashGlitch

use a steps to switch between 8 other steps modules at an eighth the clock speed. 8x8 = 64 :D should work in theory

@@DashGlitch ok, done it. expanded your grid to 64 randomized values in one 64 steps sequencer, randomizing all values in one click. i am waiting for that feature since The Grid came out :) so thx again for that research you did, thats a huge thing !

12:55 You don’t need to deselect modulator to adjust actual value anymore. While mod assign engaged hold ALT I believe on windows, option on Mac to temporarily disengage mod assign and access actual parameter.
