In this video I talk you through a quick project that I put together to solve an age old problem.... How to null your socket adapter when testing.
I've always used a piece of metal or mu cutters to jam between the terminals, but I wanted something that looked more professional to use when teaching apprentices at college.
I saw a post recently on Twitter where someone had used a trailing socket with a bungee cord on to hold their plug in socket tester on their bag, and thought that the next evolutionary stage was to incorporate a way to null your socket adapter too.
This piece of kit cost me £5 for the trailing socket, £10 for 6 x karabiners and I had a bungee cord laying around.
This took me around 20 mins to build and I'm really pleased with the result... I hope you do too!
Take care
Adrian
