Furniture with inlays have characterized the craft of cabinetmakers for centuries. There are only a few cabinetmakers left who have mastered this art. Volker Lück from Karlsruhe builds a table with an inlay inspired by nature.
For this, the cabinetmaker uses special veneer woods made of ebony and Amboina burl - a special freak of nature that creates fantastic shapes through growths. He draws inspiration for his inlay work from these unusual grains. The result is a unique table. Here the natural wood characteristics meet the fine inlay language of the artist.
The renowned woodworker receives commissions from museums as well as private clients. He is well versed in the centuries-old design of wooden furniture, but also pushes it further into the modern age. Volker Lück is one of the most sought-after masters in his field.
