I've not only learned some way to make a character skin Shader in Blender 3D, but I also was able to understand some of the fundamental basics of the Shader Editor (which can be found intimidating for certain users like me) thanks to your tutorial; a very didactic and fluid content. In my opinion, the title or the description of the video could totally include the fact that it presents introductory or useful notions to the use of Shader Editor -and it worked out fine for Blender 3.0 as I was using it. ¡Thank you!

Like the tutorial, I actually used your texture and boosted it with some know-how and came out with a nice realistic looking skin that will look pretty nice on some of my future models. Thanks for the ingenious sliders. I have been going back into a lot of my procedural textures and shaders to manually set them up, but I might incorporate these sliders in them as well to speed up workflow.

You, sir, are a marvel. Instantaneously subscribed. As for suggestions, you could show how to create those sorts of fancy facial rig setups with icons and constraints (like the ones with xyz positions for different mouth shapes for speaking sounds and different facial emotions located close to the character), going beyond what you've shown in you last video on that topic. Still on shape keys, maybe a tutorial on automated ones? Like when you flex an arm, the biceps automaticaly gets bigger and such. Anyway, congratulations on the great video!

Brilliant tutorial! Just wondering how we now layer other skin textures on top of this? I am trying to add blush to the face and lips etc but nothing will overlap this texture
@valentineocallaghan2228
2 жыл бұрын
@DinoCow this may seem a little redundant, but you could apply this texture, unwrap it in UV Editor and set it up to bake a diffuse map and re-apply this texture and that may then allow for texture painting. Hope this helps : ).

Awesome this is a huge help, but lets say i wanted a freckles slider too, to add some spots or freckles, is there a simple way to do that? I've set up a image texture, unwrapped and texture painted on it. but problem I have encountered is it overrides the skin tone slider. So just the 1 tone of skin or the image texture. ?? It looks okay but I lose the ability to change the skin colour.
