White Elmers type glue works real well . Leave an unglued section (1 inch) in middle of top for easy separation. No corner warping .

hiya if you leave your space in the middle of an edge instead of the corner you wont get a corner buckling at all. Also if you divide your 50 sheet pad in half or more you can then have more surfaces to work on at once :) . for anyone who doesn't have this glue or cannot get it hot glue works too i spread it out and make it flat with my pallet knife. I'm gonna try to get some of the bookbinding glue as i don't like using the glue gun.

If people do use a hot glue gun and they're perfectionists they can use the tip of the hot glue gun to remelt the glue and smooth it over to get in the cracks I found that with buying Arches watercolor paper it's cheapest to buy the individual sheets in a large amount (off of www.dickblick.com/ but sadly Blick had upped their 22"x30" sheet from 5.90 to $7.88 per sheet!) and cutting the sheets down to the size that I want, but this can create the sheets to not exactly be even. That's why I used the tip of the hot glue gun to get into the cracks of where the paper wasn't even
@katpaints

@@lilac3374 I haven't gone to buy paper in person but I know the now-gone Utrecht art supply would cut large sheets of anything. I think there was a fee for more than two cuts - or was that Home Depot - but their huge guillotine cutter was extremely accurate. I just hate cutting off the deckle edge, but you couldn't do this without that sacrifice.

Hi Sandi. Thanks for sharing your process. I’ve experimented using matte medium as well as rubber cement to create blocks, but prefer your suggestion for using binding glue, proper tool for the job. Discovered that matte medium causes crunchy edges on the paper and rubber cement stretches/peals away. Recently, I saw someone use a credit card to remove the top sheet. It worked great and no risk of tearing paper like can happy with a palette knife or other blade. Your videos are super enjoyable, wish only they were longer! I’ll gladly register if you start an art school! Your guidance is always inspirational and fun. It’s obvious that you’re a kind and authentic individual which really helps when people are learning new ways of being creative. As always, deep bows of gratitude. -Jasper 🙂🙏🏽⭐️

Jasper I hope everyone reads your comment - great info in it!!! I wondered about matte medium (I have some) and I wondered about rubber cement too - all good info to know - I like the credit card tip too - because I do get a little "cutty" with my palette knife sometimes if I'm not being careful. As far as the longer videos: 1st, thank you that would crave longer ones! 2nd, I've been doing a mix of longer and shorter ones - some people like longer some like shorter. I'm just letting the "material" dictate the length. But thank you for letting me know you'd like them to be longer - I feel the same about Creators I really like - I'm always like "noooooooooo, it's over already!". SCHOOL?!?! - sooooo encouraging that you'd register! Jasper, thank you for this detailed, encouraging, and informative comment - REALLY APPRECIATE IT! Thank you for your continued support - means the world to me!

Sandi Hester you could totally sell them!! Start an Etsy shop or sell from your own website. I’ve been trying to incorporate works on paper into my painting practice but nothing has stuck right yet. Works on paper are a great way to experiment and develop an artists process and allows for a body of work at a lower price point. It’s great for new collectors who are starting out. Especially with Covid now too, being able to send the work unframed and then have the collector frame it locally saves money on shipping! So yeh... GAME CHANGER!! 🥳 🎉

I usually charge about $65 for a 9x12 watercolor. What is your recommendation (if you have the time to answer)? I'm using wax and oil pastels on black acid free cardstock.
