Learn how to make rich, creamy, subtly sweet almond milk at home. Unlike store-bought, it has NO PRESERVATIVES, ADDITIVES, OR SUGAR! 🙌
You’ll need 2 Ingredients:
1. Almonds (or any other nuts of your choice);
2. Water.
And 2 tools:
1. A blender;
2. A nut milk bag (or cheesecloth).
With a nut milk bag you can literally squeeze every last drop of milk out of the pulp. If you don’t have a nut milk bag, you can also use a piece of cheesecloth.
From 1 cup of nuts, you can yield 4 cups of nut milk depending on how creamy you want it.
Follow these simple steps:
🌿 Soak the almonds overnight with warm water;
🌿 Take the skin off to get the silky, creamy consistency. Tip: scald with boiling water if the skins are difficult to remove;
🌿 Blend with water to make almond milk;
🌿 Filter out the almond pulp with a nut milk bag or cheesecloth;
🌿 For a little extra flavor, you can add 3-4 pitted dates, a bit of ginger and water, and blend again. Also try adding cocoa powder, a hint of cinnamon, a pinch of sea salt, or banana as a sweetener.
Almonds have a myriad of nutritional benefits: calcium, protein, vitamin E, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper, manganese, B vitamins, natural fiber, antioxidants, and cholesterol-lowering monounsaturated fat. No wonder people call them superfood!

Almost all nuts, grains, seeds, and legumes need to be soaked before eating them.
