Growing up in Louisiana, we often made Beignets out of biscuit dough. We would quarter them into triangles, fry the raw dough, and cover one side with powdered sugar. So very good.
@sundarpichai940
7 жыл бұрын
Did you make biscuit dough just like this or use the pre-packaged stuff? I ask because I sort of imagine that the pre-packaged stuff might work better. I actually have never had biscuits out of those refrigerated cylinder packages, however when I watched this video, I wondered how the "bronuts" would be after they cooled. Biscuits are typically made with solid fat (butter) so when they cool, they often kind of suck. However, the pre-packaged stuff is probably made with some sort of industrial fat concoction that likely maintains a better texture at room temperature.
@coralinealgae

We did it both ways, but more often from scratch. Both come out really tasty. The only thing I wouldn't recommend ever frying would be frozen biscuit dough.
