Hi brnjnsvld. Glad you like it. It is one of my favorites as well. Yes you can do a candle. Trouble is always finding the graphic. Hour glass is also a great idea. but it could be tricky to implement as the hour glass comes to a point in the middle. But it could be done. Once again, it is finding the same graphic or multiple graphics that allow you to transform it into a chart. Thanks again!

@@exceldashboards i am having an issue where I cant get the foam to go to the top. I have the exact same numbers as you do and formulas...when I change it to a cluster column chart, since it is 19% (same formula as yours), it stays at 19%, not 119%...what am I doing wrong?? Anyone else having this issue??

Hi Jomanley123, I am so glad you love this tutorial. Without seeing your specific chart, I would recommend that you make sure that your foam is on the right axis or that your data is set up in the specific way that I show. You can also get a step-by-step tutorial of this video demonstration on my blog. Perhaps that can help you troubleshoot as well. Again, thanks for the kind comments. Steve=True

This is very cool! Can you make a melting candle doing this in reverse? Candle would shorten as variable (time) increases and then is extinguished at zero. Added challenge to have wax build up at base as candle shrinks. An hour-glass would also be very impressive.

Hello. I just tried this tutorial, and I have finally gotten everything to work except for the Current Beer Level graphic isn't changing. The beer foam changes and increases once over 100, but my beer level just stays the same FILLED. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Kourtney, so sorry you were having issues. I think you pasted the beer color in the wrong series, probably the one that is below the Foam that should be clear.

Hello Steve, this is awsome! I tried it but the upper part of the graphic (bber foam) is wider than the beer, what could I have done wrong?

Mauricio Triviño Hi Marucio, perhaps you haven't moved the foam to the correct axis? Hope this helps or that you already figured it out. Thanks for the awesome comment. Steve=True

Call me an idiot but I need help! :) When I get to the step of switching from a stacked column chart to a standard clustered column chart...My lower mug shifts to the left of the upper mug and my foam shifts to the right of my upper mug. They no longer line up. :( Any tips? Please & Thank You!

Ashley Renkenberger Hi Ashley, it has been awhile since I made this tutorial so I am not sure what you may have missed.. Sorry, without watching the exact steps, I am not sure I can help. I would assume that you may have missed a step. I would start over from the beginning. Steve=True

Hello! Do you think a similar spreadsheet can be made that fills the screen with glitter when you hit a certain goal? I'd love to see this!

Hi Christina, sure you can do that, but it would require VBA coding.

My upper mug wouldn't reach the 100% line on my graph. When I increase the value to 110% it lines up but now I have a gap between the foam and top of the mug! What am I doing wrong?
@exceldashboards

Check BOTH of your Vertical axis to make sure they are at the same number. They might not be the same number or not fixed value and changing on you as you add values. Alternately, maybe you have a series on the wrong Primary or Secondary Axis.

Hi Steve, this is so cool. I am still trying to figure out what the beer positions for but if it's obvious to you, could you let me know why my beer part(yellow) is wider than the mug even when I cropped it to fit the mug? Thanks!

Wyatt Belair Hi Wyatt, glad you think it is cool. Me too :) You may need to increase or decrease your Beer gap width or overlap. Hope this helps. Steve=True
