Excellent work Mike! The level of precision you achieved with the placement of LED wiring inside the sign was impressive!

Hi Mike, I've been doing some LED work on a layout. For some lighting I use the "3 LED" strip with resistor that requires 12VDC (those are the long lighted strip lighting) but I also have some single LEDs which of course only take 3 VDC. Anyway, rather than using a resistor for the 3V I've been using a Buck Converter to drop the voltage. That way I have a 12VDC feed coming into a panel of switches (I like to have a switch for each light or group of lights) and that panel will have 12V out and some 3V out. Anyway, the point was that I've been using a buck converter rather than a resistor to drop the voltage. Oh and I use a Potentiometer to give me variable output to the LEDs as well so I can dim them.

Hi ya Mike, that sign came out great. I can’t wait to see it installed in front of the shopping mall. Nicely done. See ya next time.

Mike, thanks very much for your video. I need to make lots of lit signs for my layout in progress. I learned a lot. Can you please give details about type of LEDs and resistor? Did you buy pre-wired LEDs? From where? BTW, I really liked the neat wiring. How did you get the wires to stay in the channel?

Hey Mike, again that is a very cool looking sign, very nice work. Question I figured you used SMD LED, which size did you use? Thanks for sharing...

Great Sign! Wanna do one myself. What stock or material did you use to either laser or inkjet text and graphics to it?

Nice build, but Don't like the hot-spots from the LED's.
