Do you get Amazon, or other delivery where you live? If you have electricity, you can use a toaster oven to make it.if your toaster oven is small, you can use smaller pan/dish, maybe two halves of the recipe? In half sized containers?

Runny, 6 years ago- similar to another user- I watched this video, and your apple pie was the first pie I ever made! The crust didn’t turn out well, as I was pretty young and didn’t realize that I should have measured all my pie crust ingredients by weight (most people measure by volume in the U.S., regardless of the ingredient), but the filling was still fantastic! I made modifications to the fillings as I saw, but the untypical method of cooking the apples with sugar before putting them in the pie crust is still the method I use today, and I’ve been the designated pie-maker for every Thanksgiving. Now that I’ve rewatched this video, I’d like to try your crust again since I have a kitchen scale now. It just looks so crispy and flaky- the perfect pie crust! In any case, thank you for this video!

I finished baking mine! I doubled the apples and dough recipe for a 9" pie pan. Instead of all white sugar, I mixed in brown sugar and cinnamon. I used margarine. My dough was a little stickier, which made me worry but it came out fine. I had fun doing the lattice! I love the crispy crust! Thank you for this recipe! Love all of your recipes too! Don't beat yourself up!

This is the best looking crust I've ever seen. I think the key to make good crust is " fold and roll " that made the pie crispy and flaky .
This pie dough is more like pastry. This occurs by the folding of the dough several times. The more you chill, fold, and roll out, the more it will rise, and the more layers it will have. The butter contains water, which turns to steam when cooking, and this puffs the layers of dough out. This is why everything must be kept cold, so the butter can layer between the flour. He basically made a blitz puff pastry. This pie looks delicious Runnyrunny!

Even if the pie looks funny like he said, the fact that he actually practiced twice just for the order totally beats it. Good job!!

I made your apple pie recipe yesterday, runny. Of course, mine came out differently than what your video showed, but it was pretty delicious. And I added cinnamon because I love cinnamon. Thanks for your recipe!
If you look carful at the half eaten pice of pie you see that the pie crust is flaky like puff pastry. This is due to the method runny mixed flour, butter and whater without have the butter go soft and really combine with the flour. Afterward he didn't knead the dough, but folded it like one does with puff pastry and so got something very close to real puff pastry, which is when baked crunchy.

It's all in the butter. The amount of butter is the main reason it becomes nice and crunchy (flakey even). Most tart doughs have really large amounts of butter in them which is why it can be difficult to make low-fat versions
