This project was inspired by Caylee Grey's Get Messy Art book (you can also find logistics for actually binding the book pages here: • How to make an altered... ) and Jane Davies and her wonderful journal pages here: • Visual Journal Part 2.mov
I made a homemade art journal from an old library book and filled it with random half finished art papers. The pages are not at all cohesive at the moment, but the journal has a fun, quirky feeling that I like.
My goal is to make this pages feel that they all belong in the same book without losing the freedom and fun of the original pages.
In this video, I take a first step toward making these pages more cohesive by adding black to every page with a huge paint marker. (Apparently i'm in a black phase right now - ha!)
Materials used: homemade art journal, black high flow acrylic paint inside a Montana 15mm tip marker. Easy peasy.
Comments, questions, and shares are always welcome and appreciated - Thank you for watching!
