I've caught plenty of fish on shiny baits and Matt colored baits. Bottom line is if you have confidence in what your using then you will do better. That's one of the great things about fishing, there's so many variables and options you have to figure out what works for ya.

It’s works pretty well and is super easy to do. I know there’s different types of spray, but not sure about flavored. The spray coats the mold. The spray is wiped off. The sheen isn’t from the spray.

How long does the shine last after being in water ?
@MattLunaFishing

It’s not a shine because they are coated. It’s how the spray coats the inside of the mold.

@@MattLunaFishing just no. The use of a highly processed seed oil on your soft plastic bait mold is a terrible idea on so many levels. The difference between what catches fish and what catches fishermen are night and day in contrast. If you want to catch fish, the dull irregular finish actually looks more natural in the water and the use of a rendered natural shad or crawfish oil is best. But if you want a smooth shiny bait to sell your fishing buddies then just buy a CNC mold and use the same natural rendered shad/craw oil. I dont sell my baits. I do give them away tho. And they catch fish. Most of my CNC molds have had the cavities abrasive blasted with a fine media to give the baits a more natural finish. Because I care about catching fish, not fishermen. Seed oils (cooking spray) is rancid. Chemically treated and has a repulsive odor and taste. If a fish does hit a bait thats been shot with it its a split second reaction strike and they dont hang on very long if at all.

Dude you are going way too deep on this. There’s no smell left on these baits. It’s using a mold that you cannot buy in a cnc version and maximizing its use. Some people like this type of finish and some prefer a matte finish. I’m providing info on how to get both easily. If it’s consumable for humans I’m sure it’s okay for fish. I’m sure there’s scents on baits right now that aren’t healthy for consumption but no one asks questions. I don’t sell baits either. I’m making a video that i think people will enjoy seeing. That is all.

@@MattLunaFishing not too deep at all. And its actually poisonous to humans. Largely to blame for most of the diseases of modern society. Just because you dont smell it or taste it doesnt mean it isnt there. Fish can smell and taste things we cant. As well as see on a color spectrum we cant wrap our heads around. Im also providing answers. Answers to that inevitable question… Why dont my shiny baits catch any fish? Well, heres why…

Shiny baits catch a lot of fish, and yeah it’s too deep. You’re giving fish way too much credit. We can agree to disagree.
