Oh, raspberry sweet pea sounds amazing. I love floral/fruit blends. By the way, according to Dr. Dray, retinol isn't sun-sensitizing. The main reason we wear it at night is because it degrades in sunlight, so it won't benefit our skin quite as much if used in daylight. I should try bakuchiol at some point though. I haven't found an OTC retinoid or retinol that I especially like yet, so I'm using azelaic acid at the moment, and bakuchiol might be a good addition to that.

I have a question about using emulsifying wax and cetyl alcohol in an emulsifying scrub.. I got emulsifying wax that already has cetyl alcohol in it. Is this okay to use instead of using emulsifying wax and cetyl alcohol as two separate ingredients? Thank you!

Real bakuchiol is an extractive from babchi oil. And it is very expensive. Babchi oil contains a small amount of bakuchiol but they are not the same. Bakuchiol is a very dark brown and about $85-95 an ounce right now.

Hi, I made this cream yesterday. The only change I made is I added Niacinamide and Hyaluronic acid to it. Rest the same formulation, but this had a soapy effect when applied. Why is that? Can you help?

15% of a total batch size of 400 grams is 60 grams I believe wholesale supplies plus have a great batch calculator, Tara even videos on how to convert percentages into grams it varies by batch size

@@TaraLeee Ha! Sorry…. Rub in. It leaves a white smear behind and I have to rub repeatedly. I guess I could say it doesn’t absorb very well. Just wondering if something could change in the formula that might be causing it. I love the ingredients in this though.

@Taraleee, I think I’ve figured out the issue I was having with this. Normally I cleanse, and then put all my serums on and lastly this cream. I recently bought a facial massager. Now I do everything but this cream, and then use the massager then put this cream on. When I do that now, it blends perfectly with no white cast. I don’t have to keep rubbing and rubbing and rubbing it in. I don’t think my serums were fully absorbed before using this cream.

@@TaraLeee large difference. The usage rate for what you have is up to 5%. Bakuchiol syntenol A has a usage rate only up to 1%. Pull up the SDS for both.
