My mum, bless her used to make these and was my favourite dessert. We lost her many years ago now, suddenly at 59 from a brain aneurysm, her cooking was very similar, full of flavour - these videos help, more than you will ever know 😙

The ‘flittaz’ were delicious…I would never have thought of using bananas (I also included half of a plantain) and salt fish together….your method of constantly flipping them, made them nice and crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I think I will serve them with fruit next time…..since we have already devoured all that I made today. Thanks for another creative and tasty recipe. This will be one of our favorites.

Growing up cooking in Jamaica, my first instinct was to roast this video and judge you for putting the banana and saltfish together, because thats just not how i have ever seen it done. That would be unfair, though. I think we are a little too scornful to each other as Jamaicans, instead of open and supportive of trying things outside of what we know. I am moving away from JA for the first time and subbed to this channel to get authentic or as close to authentic cooking help as possible, and I love it. I will be trying this the way Deddy did it 😄😄
