Bourbon Street Chicken
Ingredients:
Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs
Salt
Black Pepper
Onion Powder
Garlic Powder
Low Sodium Soy Sauce
Brown Sugar
Bourbon (of your choice)
Hoisin Sauce
Minced Garlic
Ginger
Directions:
1. Mince 5 cloves of garlic.
2. Mince about a tablespoon of ginger.
3. Season chicken thighs with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and 1 tablespoon of low sodium soy sauce. Mix well.
4. In a hot skillet, add about 2 tablespoons of oil.
5. Add chicken thighs on high heat.
6. Sear on each side for 7 minutes or until done.
7. Remove the chicken from the skillet.
8. Chop the chicken thighs.
9. In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic and 1 tablespoon of ginger.
10. Add in 1 cup of low sodium soy sauce.
11. Add in 1 cup of brown sugar.
12. Add in 1/2 cup of bourbon.
13. Add in 1/4 cup of hoisin sauce.
14. Allow the sauce to simmer for 5-8 minutes.
15. Add chicken to sauce.
16. Cook for 1-2 mins.
17. Enjoy!
