This is a super duper idea and one I had never heard of before, so thank you for this. This brings back lovely memories of playing in the dirt and making mud pies :) No doubt my hands were clean to start off with but definitely not at the end. When they dried on my wall I used to eat them :).........good grief the things you do as a child!

Do we need to leave it aside for a day before using it in baking? To marinate in the molasses
@inthekitchenwithmatt

Nope, it is ready to use after mixing it up. :)

Yep apple is a great way to keep it fresh and soft, I mention that in my "How to store brown sugar" video.

Does more or less Molasses effect the taste? More for clarification before I make it.

Yes, just like dark brown sugar tastes different than light brown sugar.

Does work well with maple Syrup?

You can try it. Although true brown sugar is not made with maple syrup it is made with molasses.

@@inthekitchenwithmatt I just google'd substitutes for brown sugar. Didn't have Molasses but had Maple Syrup. Actually came to be a light brown sugar. Thanks for the video.

Buy more. Same thing you do when you run out of any ingredient or item.
