Sprue goo looks very fun to work with. If I ever buy plastic kits I'll have to be sure to save the good stuff :)

From some angles that Brute leader looks not like a scratchbuild but like an eighty-dollar Games Workshop model.

I don't know about changing the name Steely Boys, after all you can just name the Snob that matches them Steely Dan.

The usual technique is chopping up bits of plastic sprue and dissolving them in acetone.

Yea, mate sprue and acetone, make sure the acetone I higher than 90% thow and gut the sprue up and use a glass jar to hold it all

These look brilliant, the placement of the wood and bits looks really natural. How did you plan their poses? They look really dynamic and aggressive! Did you play around with different options or know from the start how you wanted them to look, or could you adapt as you went?

Thiers a long initial working time for the sprue goo. it gave me a lot of time to work on the poses, and I've put a lot of minis together over the years, so that gave me a better idea of what would work .

these look amazing! super inspiring. i've never seen sprue goo be used as sculpting material before but i really want to try it. what ratio sprue to plastic glue did you use?
@Crackminis
5 ай бұрын
It's not plastic glue it's acetone, and I just half fill a glass jar and drop small pieces of sprue in till its full wait for it to soften and shrink down then fill again repeat the prossess till the jar is full you will end up with something close to the consistency of that slime stuff kids use. so take what you need out of the jar. Leave it to sit on some baking paper for half an hour it will start to firm up and become a more workable and clay like
