An overnight winter snowstorm is a perfect time to enjoy a cup of Bulletproof coffee. Relax as I make a cup and enjoy the snow with my German Sheppard Nova.
My version of the Bulletproof coffee recipe:
21 grams fresh roasted/ ground coffee
350 grams water just off of a boil
Pour over method:
Preheat Chemex Pour over glass coffee maker with warm water.
Pour out after preheating and add Chemex filter paper.
Place Chemex on digital scale and zero out the scale.
Grind your coffee beans (21grams) and pour into the top of the Chemex.
*(you will need to determine your own grind settings for your coffee beans).
Remove water off of boil and add 100 grams to the Chemex.
Allow 30sec. for the coffee to bloom (bubble out air).
Add remaining hot water until the scale reads 350 grams.
*(one cup is 12oz. or 340mil, about ~10ml of water will be trapped in the filter paper and coffee).
While coffee is brewing preheat your Vitamix/blender with hot water and pour out.
Slice 2 tablespoons of Grass-Fed UNSALTED butter and put aside.
Back to the Chemex:
Once all hot water has made it through the filter pour the brewed coffee into your blender.
Add you 2 tablespoons of Grass-Fed UNSALTED butter to the blender.
Add 1-2 table spoons of MCT oil (pure coconut oil) to your blender.
Blend:
Blend all ingredients well (about one minute on high).
Pour into your favorite coffee mug and enjoy!
