Bun Rieu is a heart warming Vietnamese Crab Noodle soup. Awesome for cold weather. Here is my recipe for a 10 liter pot with about 8 liters of broth.
I hope you guys enjoy this one!
Recipe:
1-2 Cua dong packages 340g per pack
3-4 lbs of pork bones (I used 2 lbs of pork neck and 1.5 lbs of pork hock)
1 lbs Pork blood
2 lbs of Ground pork, 1 lean, 1 regular
150g dried shrimp
1 lbs of Shrimp or Prawns
400g 2x cans or jars Minced Crab meat
2 Tofu packs, 320g per pack
1 package or about less than 1lbs Cha (Vietnamese Ham)
7 cloves of Garlic or 1 head
3 Shallots
3-4 Limes
1 bunch Rau muon/Water Spinach/Ong Choy
1 head Bap chuoi / Banana flower
6 Tomatoes
2 packages of Bun/Vermicelli
4 tbsp Shrimp paste
30g to 50g Rock sugar
1 bunch Green onions
5 eggs
2 tbsp chicken powder or chicken stock powder
