Dear Mandy, thank you for the dumpling videos! We celebrated our 2023 year's 1st day with pork and cabbage filled dumplings, thanks to you! I got the recipe for the filling, wrapper and dipping sauce from 3 different videos of yours. Last year we tried steamed dumplings with premade gyoza wrappers, but we found it not so good, so this year we gave another chance to our dumpling frenzy, only I searched for trustworthy recipe for filling, wrapper and dipping sauce to make. And it meant so much difference to make it at home by hand! We choose the panfried and steamed version as you showed in this video, used bread flour for the wrapper, it was a dream to have so crusty and moist dumplings! We have another batch at the freezer. So we will have another chance to eat it soon! Thank you for your informative, helpful and super friendly recipe videos, it is a pleasure to watch any of it because of your kind and caring personality! ❤️😘

Made 100 on Friday and Saturday. So delicious!!! Managed to freeze some. My wife is crazy for these dumplings. We worked hard but it was so worth the effort. We’ll do it again very soon!!! This weekend we’re gonana tackle the wonton soup, fried wontons and egg rolls. May as well do both while the oil is hot! 😋 Thank you, thank you for your delicious recipes and all the hard work you put into producing these shows!!!

谢谢,I am from 荆州市, 沙市区 of China, but move out of china at a really young age. I have been wanting to reconnect with my culture through food (because I love food). My dad and aunt were the cooks in the family, sadly I am not in touch with them anymore so never got the change to learn the Chinese recipes. So, I am really grateful for your videos, it is like how my dad use to make them :).

I used to make a lot of dumplings on the day I was serving it, but I found I wasn't enjoying the meal with my family. So I would make AND cook up a big batch one day, then freeze them (individually, then when frozen, bag them in sackfuls). Your way makes more sense! *Thanks!*

Thank you for showing this dumpling wrapping technique! Tried it out this weekend - my dumplings were consistent looking and had more filling than I can usually squeeze in with my normal way of wrapping. The dumplings were so beautiful and tasty, my wife thought I had bought them from a restaurant! Keep up the great work.

I made dumplings for my first time the other night, but I used the dumpling wrappers (or wonton wrappers) with my fried rice. I steamed half and fried the other half. Everyone loved them! I used ground chuck and ground pork butt together, but going to try different next time. The leftovers I’m going to make egg rolls with (if the leftovers last that long!). TY!

Thank you for all of your tips! Our family is gluten free (3 out of 5 of us have Celiac Disease) so we won’t get dumplings unless I make them myself. I’m going to attempt to make these this weekend. I will make adjustments for working with the gluten free flour and let you know how they end up turning out! Thanks for all of your thorough and mouth watering recipes!!

I suggest that you try making dumplings from tofu skins which is gluten free. Made some this weekend and they came out yummy. The skins are very easy to handle. The leftovers kept very nicely in the fridge and are great for finger food snacks. Recipes under Tofu Skin Rolls will show you how to handle the skins. I bought the Tofu dried sheets, soaked them a few hours, and gently rinsed again before using. . I like the texture of the Tofu skins and you can fill them with the many variations that was mentioned. You can find the dried Tofu Skins in the Asian stores. Easy to make but taste so good!

I just love your explanations. I just made the wonton wrappers and used the first method you showed ( the traditional way) and after the first 2, I totally got the hang of it! So much easier! I whipped through 30 of them very quickly. I just made a roller from a dowel from Home Depot. I must admit that I really enjoy “ playing “ with dough hehehe! I used chicken and regular APF. I can’t wait to get my wonton/noodles dough at my Asian market! Thank you for your explanatory videos!! ❤️ your very sweet.

First thing, You are amazing! I love your channel. Second thing, I have never made dumplings before completely homemade. I made these today. You made it look so easy because this is an art form! My first ten dumplings looked, um, not like dumplings. My biggest mistake was not cutting the cabbage small enough, it made the dumplings really difficult to stuff

Could throwing the dumping meat in a bowl, result in getting the air out of meat? It becomes more dense and keeps the meat together and hopefully the filling is more moist? You are such a good teacher!! Technic is so important in cooking. You are the best and deserve a medal and I mean this!

Amazing. I have to try this tomorrow! But it's funny - we have a recipe for buns in Germany called "Dampfnudeln", and they're made exactly the same way: first you bake the bottom crispy, then you add water and steam them. They have no filling, though, and they're bigger. Man, it's too late in the evening to cook, but now I want dumplings...
